As a kid, who didn’t dream of being a champion?

I spent a great deal of my childhood daydreaming about being a champion motocross racer. So much so, that I practiced my signature far more than I actually practiced riding.

The closest I ever came, was in the Fall of 1996, in the 125 class at my local AMA District 15 MX series. It came down to the last race of the season, and I fell short… So close to getting one of those sweet “Class Champion” jackets...

The thought of it still haunts me today. So, we produced our own “Class Champ” jacket!
